ABOUT FLUENCE
"Great design drives business" was our belief in 1998. It still is today, except now, great design includes the strategies, systems, and intelligent experiences that help organizations compete in a faster, more complex world.
Our team has always operated at the intersection of creative excellence and business practicality. We have never been satisfied making things that look good but don't work, and we have never been satisfied with things that work, but fail to move people.
That tension, between craft and outcome, between form and function, between vision and execution, is where Fluence lives. It's also where the best work gets done.
OUR STORY – From FUsion to fluence
1998 – EARLY 2005
The design firm that thought like a business partner.
Fusion Media was founded on a straightforward idea: design should do something. Not just look good, but drive behavior, support strategy, and create business value. In the early years, that meant brand identity, marketing materials, and print: executed with craft and with commercial intent.

Strategic Design
MID 2000s – 2010s
The digital shift: from static to interactive, from broadcast to experience.
As clients moved online and audiences shifted from passive to participatory, we moved with them. We built digital capabilities, developed enterprise UX practices, and began designing systems rather than just materials, connecting brand strategy to interface design to content production.

2010s – EARLY 2020s
Deeper into the enterprise: sales enablement, digital products, and long-term partnership.
The clients got bigger. The challenges got more complex. Fusion grew from campaign-level work into platform-level work. We designed field sales tools for national workforces, supported enterprise applications over multi-year engagements, and embedded deeply into how organizations actually operate.

2024 – NOW
The AI era: strategy, systems, and scalable media for a world where intelligence is everywhere.
AI isn't changing what we believe, it's expanding what we can do. This expansion is so dramatic, we renamed the company to reflect this change and our growth direction. Fluence now help organizations understand how AI represents their brands, use AI agents to find and qualify opportunities, build intelligent knowledge systems, and produce content at a scale that was not previously possible. We do all of this while putting people first.

What We Do
How We Think.
Fluence works where strategy, design, technology, content, and change need to come together. The goal is consistent: create systems people can understand, use, and act on.
01
We have always rejected the idea that design is what you do after the strategy is set. The best design work shapes the strategy, challenges the brief, and forces sharper thinking about what the organization is actually trying to accomplish.
02
Sales tools that sit unused. Intranets nobody navigates. Brands employees do not believe. These are design failures, not implementation failures. We design for real people in real situations, not for demos or approvals.
03
A campaign is a moment. A system is an asset. We push clients toward systems thinking; building the frameworks, platforms, and architectures that make every future piece of work faster, more consistent, and more valuable.
04
We are not AI evangelists. We are practitioners who use AI where it genuinely helps and resist it where it does not. The organizations we work with need better thinking, not just faster output . We design accordingly.
05
Some of our longest client relationships began with a single project fifteen or twenty years ago. We invest in understanding how an organization actually works, what its culture resists, and where its real leverage is, and that knowledge compounds.
06
Senior people should do the senior work.
Fluence is deliberately structured so that the people who pitch the work are the people who do it. We do not bait with principals and switch to junior teams. Clients work directly with the people who are thinking about their business. We succeed when our clients do.
How We Operate
By design, Fluence is not a large organization. The model is a senior, integrated team that can move from strategy through execution without the overhead, bureaucracy, or quality dilution that comes with scale for its own sake.
Every engagement is led by someone who can think about the business problem, shape the creative solution, and manage the production, without handing off to someone who was not in the room when the brief was locked-in.
That is a different model than most agencies. It is also why our clients tend to call us partners rather than vendors.
Senior team from strategy through execution
The people who shape the strategy are the people who oversee the design, the build, and the delivery. No handoffs to junior teams after the pitch.
Integrated across disciplines
Strategy, design, content, technology, and AI in one team, not siloed practices that have to coordinate across departments in order to serve a client.
Built for complex, multi-touchpoint challenges
We are most useful when the problem crosses department lines, involves multiple audiences, and requires thinking that connects brand to behavior to system to measurement.
Nimble enough to move, experienced enough to lead
We can start quickly, adapt to what we learn, and move at the pace an enterprise engagement actually requires , without the inertia of a large agency model.
Embedded, not external
Our goal is to become indispensable to the teams we serve, not interchangeable with any other vendor. That means learning the organization, building relationships, and having a vested interest in our clients' success.
Why Clients Return
The relationship is the proof.
We could list awards. Instead, we prefer to note that most of our best clients have been working with us for more than five years; many for ten or fifteen. That is the metric we are most proud of.
25+
Founded in 1998, Fluence has navigated every major shift in how businesses communicate, market, sell, and operate. We've adapted our capabilities accordingly.
5+
We do not measure success in projects. We measure it in the depth and durability of the relationships we build with the organizations we serve.
01
Team. Always.
No account managers, no handoffs, no surprise team members on month three. One integrated team from first conversation to final delivery, and beyond.
